Sales Representative Job Opportunity - Part-time


The New Residents’ Guide is expanding into Murfreesboro/Rutherford County and is
seeking a goal-driven media sales representative. The candidate will be responsible for
contacting potential businesses and organizations about purchasing advertising in The
New Residents’ Guide magazine and website including the Rutherford County edition
(primary) and the Williamson/Maury County edition (secondary).

 

The salesperson should...
• Be knowledgeable and confident to sell features and benefits of The New Residents’
Guide following sales training.
• Identify prospective customers and contact them about advertising via email, phone
call, and/or in-person meeting.
• Emphasize the benefits of The New Residents’ Guide magazine and website, and
how the Guide helps their business or organization reach new residents and new
customers.
• Present pricing, ad size options, and length of contract with provided sales
collateral.
• Have a working knowledge of Google email and Google Suite.


The salesperson will be trained on Hubspot CRM to maintain a list of prospects along
with adding new prospects. Working with the CEO, the candidate will be responsible
for prospecting sales leads that would convert to advertisers.


Applicants would ideally have 1-3 years sales experience. This position offers flexible
hours. The candidate should be available to attend local networking events, initiate
sales calls through email and make sales calls via phone during regular business hours.
The right person must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and confident talking with
business owners or marketing representatives via phone and in person.


This part-time position offers a base salary, and commission on ad sales. Travel to
networking events and meetings with clients is required. Employee must have the
following:


• Dependable mobile phone to make sales calls
• Computer to send emails and access CRM software
• Suitable, quiet work-space to make uninterrupted sales phone calls
• Reliable transportation to drive to sales calls, company meetings, and local
networking events. (Mileage will be reimbursed)
